Self Defense New Mexico was opened in early 2006.

Although being a new school, the instruction still has its tradition and principle aspects. I teach the students to respect each other as well as themselves. The art of Tae Kwon Do is more than punching and kicking, it is learning self control, self confidence, team work, honor and hard work. It is also challenging and fun.
Our school is a family oriented place of practice. The students become close knit and learn to work with one another in team work.

All students are treated in the same manner and are expected to follow direction and listen to what is told to them. The students are also expected to ask questions when they do not understand what is being taught at that moment.

I do not test students unless I believe that they are ready and prepared. The students and parents are not allowed to ask when the student will test. I will determine that and if I am asked then I will put off their test until they learn the principle of Patience.
Students are required to attend class twice a week for Practice. They will also learn Perseverance through pushing themselves beyond their own boundaries.
